Doug Cornelius asked me to participate in the NY-Toronto Law Firm KM Summit 2008, (held in Boston). Here are my notes from the morning sessions - I went back to work in the afternoon.
Commentary on several articles that talk about the importance of dealing with human practices as well as the business processes, particularly in the era of collaboration.
About three years ago, I had an interesting email and phone conversation with Bill Ives, who found me through this blog. A few weeks later (four years ago, as it turns out), Bill launched his blog, Portals and KM, and it is still going strong.
Bill Ives has done his first podcast with the Otter Group's Learning2.0 podcast series. His topic is Blogs as Personal Knowledge Management, and he does a nice job of summarizing in six minutes what blogs are and how Bill (and others) use blogs as their "backup brain."
Bill Ives has listed a number of KM blogs in Some Knowledge Management Blogs. Beyond the obvoius blogs that talk about knowledge management, there are many people covering the topic as part of their larger blogging interest. I add another 20 from the blogs I regularly peruse.
Bill Ives is busy organizing a day-long KM Cluster event "Inside Social Networks" on January 21, 2005. Quite an array of people involved.
