Livingston series on aggregators

Brian Livingston has an upcoming set of articles on aggregators, starting with this week's overview of the current marketplace, RSS Readers: Narrowing Down Your Choices.  The top 20 aggregators (or "RSS readers") are topped with the web-based Bloglines, the Mac-only NetNewsWire and the newly-released iTunes with podcasting support.  These three cover 40% of the downloads surveyed by Livingston.  He also notes that the bottom ten all have about one percent of the market, suggesting there is a lot yet happening.  Interestingly, SharpReader is one of these readers, and there hasn't been any development from Luke in a year.

I'll be looking for his forthcoming articles on web-based and desktop-based readers.
