Sorting Out this Alphabet Soup: HPT, KM, OD

Panelists Sandra Lamartine (Organizational Development), Ken Silber (Human Performance Technology), and Jack Vinson (Knowledge Management) discuss similarities and differences of their disciplines, how each benefits an organization, and how they might partner for the ultimate in performance improvement.

Our panelists

Sandra Lamartine
Sandra is the Manager of Organizational Development at Tellabs in Naperville, IL. Sandra has over 12 years of experience in organizational development, change management, performance and talent management, culture, and employee satisfaction. Prior to Tellabs, Sandra worked as an internal OD consultant with Arthur Andersen, Hughes Aircraft, and the Southern California Gas Company. She is the organizer of the Western Suburbs Organizational Development Network (of the Chicago Chapter of the ASTD) and a popular presenter at Alliance events.

Dr. Ken Silber
Founder and President of Silber Performance Consulting, Ken is a performance consulting/ID/change management professional with 30 years experience in consulting in corporate, nonprofit, and academic settings both in the U.S. and internationally. He has co-authored four books-most recently, Writing Training Materials That Work-and is an associate professor of instructional design at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Ken is an annual presenter at the ISPI national conference, CISPI, and CCASTD, along with other conferences on Performance Consulting.

Jack Vinson, Ph.D.
Jack is a knowledge management consultant and advocate-helping organizations and people consider how they use their information, technology, and each other to get work done. He is president of Knowledge Jolt, Inc. and an adjunct professor in Northwestern University's Learning and Organizational Change program, where he teaches a class on "Making Knowledge Work." In addition, he writes regularly at Knowledge Jolt with Jack.
