KM comments in today's feeds

Here are some entertaining comments about knowledge management from today's feeds.  I'll probably see another one after I post this.  Knowledge management has gone all over the map in terms of it being a buzzword.  I even had a simulation company tossing "knowledge management" into the mix as they were trying to sell us more software back in the late 1990's.

Euan Semple Using phrases like "capture knowledge" and "extract knowledge" is about as inviting as offering to throw your staff into a bare concrete cell and strip search them!

David Weinberger (referring to discussion at a workshop): We're now seeing the rise of collaborative knowledge, he says. KM was "incredibly boring." Now it's arising organically, he says.
