BCG Perspectives have an interesting approach to publishing thought-pieces. The one I stumbled on is their discussion of "Strategy Traps", where they pair up a number of "traps" that trap organizations - and use a historical figure to highlight the idea.
Steve Holt gave a talk entitled "Stay on the Red Curve by Making Your Own Products Obsolete." He touched on a lot of topics, but the general idea is that the competitive advantage linked to innovations (in product, service, etc) can only last so long for a business.

The authors provide a set of ten ideas on how to build knowledge-sharing into the fabric of teams and into the organization as a whole. The focus is on growing the capacity for knowledge sharing in the organization, rather than on any specific KM technologies.
I've mentioned Goldratt Consulting's Viable Vision a number of times, and a few people have asked for more details. The Viable Vision is a strategy for transforming a business so that within four years, its net profits are today's total sales.
